Training workshops for families
For parents who want to learn strategies they can use at home to promote their child's development.
Service Description
This service is best for children who already have the attention and cooperation skills required to participate in structured learning activities and to follow simple instructions. During these 60-minute sessions, parents are guided through carefully selected learning activities with their child. The goal is to provide caregivers with high-quality strategies and exercises that are specific to their child's needs. For best results, caregivers attend these workshops weekly or bi-weekly. Common objectives appropriate for targeting during parent workshops are language stimulation, language development, reading, writing, fine-motor skills and play skills.
