Viki McArthur, BCBA & Little Bright Lights Founder
My passion for the field of ABA stems from my desire to help families be happy and live rich experiences. When I meet a new set of parents, I imagine that when they set out to start a family, they envisioned a future in which their children could ask for help, participate in social activities, and say 'I love you'. When a child has language difficulties or socially challenging behaviors, every member of the family suffers. My personal mission is to support the family's needs with what pertains to their child's social development to ease the family's strain, to help the family reconnect, and to improve the quality of the family's quality of life.

I also take great pride in welcoming only the most passionate, devoted and hard-working therapists to my team. Every member of Little Bright Lights' team is certified, registered and experienced, and has a heart full of love.
OUR APPROACH
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
ABA is the magic of finding the learning goals that are most appropriate for each child, and teaching the child to reach those goals through activities and exercises that are fun and rewarding for them. In ABA, we target goals that are difficult enough to push the child forward in their development but easy enough for them to accomplish with only minimal assistance. We use a combination of movement-play and structured activities to teach, and rewards (positive reinforcement) are built into everything we do. The areas of development we target are language, communication, behavior, social skills, school readiness, fine motor skills and autonomy.
