Daycare integration service

Service Description

This service takes place at the client's daycare. Our goal is to help children integrate into their classroom. A child who is well-integrated into their class does not exhibit aggressive, disruptive, or dangerous behavior, can communicate their basic needs, can follow transitions between tasks and activities, can participate in group activities, can respond correctly to simple verbal instructions, can understand basic cognitive concepts, and can work well with their peers to achieve common goals. This service can be booked either by a family or directly by the daycare administration, depending on whether one child or several children require integration services. With the director's approval, a member of our team will visit the daycare, identify the objectives to be addressed, write a detailed intervention plan, and coach the classroom educator(s) on the application of the suggested strategies. Sometimes, weekly professional workshops at the daycare between the child and our team can be beneficial, but the ultimate goal is to avoid removing the child from the classroom and instead equip the daycare team with strategies they can use daily to stimulate the child's development and manage challenging situations themselves, for the well-being of the child, the educators, and the other children in the classroom. The professional reserves the right to refuse a daycare visit if it is located a significant distance from their service centre. In addition to the cost of this service, $0.70 per kilometer traveled for the visit will be charged to the client. Parents who reserve this service themselves must first provide proof that their daycare administration authorizes our staff to visit their daycare for this service.
