ABA Therapy for Children
Structured. Supportive. Personalized.
Service Description
What Is ABA? ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) is an evidence-based approach that teaches meaningful skills in small, manageable steps. Our goal is simple: Help your child make real progress. What does it focus on? Communication (requesting, understanding, speaking), attention and learning skills, play and social interaction, emotional regulation, daily routines and independence, challenging behaviours that interfere with daily life. Is my child ready? Your child does not need to sit nicely, pay attention, follow instructions, or have language. We teach those skills. What Does the Process Look Like? 1. Initial Online Meeting (review history, goals, priorities, create a plan) 2. Individualized Treatment Plan (clear, measurable goals) 3. Weekly Therapy Sessions 4. Ongoing Parent Collaboration Where Does Therapy Take Place? Most sessions take place at our service center. When needed, therapy may also occur at home, at daycare or at school. How many hours are needed? Every child is different. Many families begin with a structured initial phase, often several hours of direct therapy per week, to build foundational skills. As progress is made, services are gradually reduced and may transition to focused support or parent coaching only. Is ABA therapy covered by insurance? ABA therapy is not covered by RAMQ. Private insurance plans may offer coverage under extended health or paramedical benefits (for example: Blue Cross, Desjardins, Beneva, Sun Life, Manulife, Green Shield, Medavie Blue Cross). Coverage varies by plan. Supervision from a psychologist and speech-language pathologist may allow part of services to be billed under psychology or speech therapy benefits, depending on your coverage. We recommend confirming details with your insurer. How much does It cost? In-center ABA therapy: $75 per hour (sessions are typically 2 hours) Home, school, or daycare sessions: $100 per hour + travel fees Parent coaching (60 minutes): $100 per hour * Initial intake meetings are billed at $125 Is ABA therapy the right fit? We also offer parent coaching and social skills groups. If you’re unsure which service is best, we are happy to guide you. How do I get started? Book your initial online consultation through our website. During this meeting, we’ll discuss your child’s needs and help you determine whether ABA therapy is the right next step.
